St. Martin’s Day is a European celebration honoring this Saint known for being a friend to all children and patron of the poor. Today, Pre-K parent Ester Howell shared the story she learned as a child and helped the 4-year olds make colorful paper lanterns, a tradition for the holiday. On the night of November 11, children parade through Germany carrying lanterns as a symbol for hope and kindness.
