St. Andrew’s is pleased to announce that Mr. Kevin Prisant is set to join the school community this summer. Prisant will serve as Assistant Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator for the St. Andrew’s Varsity Football team and will begin working with the team during summer conditioning and practices. He will also serve in a variety of capacities as a faculty member and coach, working in the Physical Education Department and as part of the Middle School Administrative team.
Prisant brings 18 years of experience as a coach, educator, and mentor for young people. He has served as the Physical Education Department Chair and the Assistant Varsity Football Coach at Benedictine Military School for the past four years, playing a leadership role in their 27-game winning streak. Prior to that, he was the Running Backs/Linebackers Coach and served as the Assistant Basketball Coach for Benedictine.
“We are excited Kevin is joining our St. Andrew’s community,” said Head of School Dr. Kelley Waldron. “I appreciate his dedication to helping students develop as young people and athletes, and his commitment to helping students reach their fullest potential on and off the field. This student-centered approach is integral to St. Andrew’s approach to teaching and learning, and I look forward to Kevin joining us to contribute in so many facets of the student experience.”
Prior to Benedictine, Kevin taught math and physical education, coached, and served as a Dean of Students in several independent schools in Georgia, and is a graduate of a GISA school, Deerfield-Windsor in Albany, GA. Prisant is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He received a Masters of Educational Administration and Leadership from the University of North Carolina and a Bachelors of Science from Georgia Southern University.
