Jen Standing holds a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education from the Bank Street College of Education in New York and an undergraduate degree in history from Kenyon College.  She has worked with elementary children of many ages, having years of experience as a head teacher for Kindergarten through 2nd Grade.  She has also led professional development for teachers and helped develop curricula for reading and writing for Kindergarten through 2nd grade students through the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project at Columbia University.
